14 Nov “Our meeting is in China, can you provide entertainment?”
When a top client asked this question, we answered of course. Bringing an American entertainer over to Beijing for a private show can be expensive especially when considering travel budgets but we have produced many shows in Asia and Europe and have a network of contacts in every part of the world. They wanted a “Welcome to China” type of event and we created and produced a dazzling program including a troupe of (14) elaborately costumed Chinese Shanxi drummers, followed by (11) exquisitely dressed performers who proceeded into the “1000 Hands Dance”, and closing with the Chinese National Pole Dancers doing some amazing acrobatic feats. This was all supported with dramatic music and incredible visual elements on the video screens. It was sensory overload and the client was thrilled.
That was just the opening. To close the evening off we brought in Lang Lang, Chinese native and a true superstar of the Classical world to perform at the piano. He closed by playing the client’s own “anthem” written for them only a few weeks before. It was truly a welcome to China and an evening everyone in attendance will long remember.
